Chris Choi is the first born son of Choi Min Soo and June Elizabeth Kang. He studied Political Science at the University of Toronto and took a leave from absence to attend Toronto Film School. His first television cameo was in Warrior Baek Dong Soo in 2011 when he was offered a chance to play a part when visiting his father. He later played the younger version of his father's character in Man Who Dies to Live and regularly appeared on South Korean network TV Chosun's 2015-2016 variety program What is Mom aka What's Your Mom Doing (엄마가 뭐길래) alongside his father and brother; he also appeared on Talent for Sale in 2016.
