Zheng Zheng Qiu was a Chinese director and screenwriter born in Yanting, Chengtian, Chaoyang, Guangdong, China. He was the grandson of Zheng Jie Chen, an early Shanghainese Chaozhou merchant. Zheng served as the chief film critic for Minyan News and founded several publications, including Tushu Juebao (Book and Drama News) and Minquan Huabao (People's Rights Magazine). In March 1922, he co-founded the Mingxing Film Company.
