Song Seung Hwan is a South Korean actor and professor. He graduated from Whimoon High School and was later granted an honorary bachelor's degree in Arabic from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.

He made his debut in 1965 as a voice actor for the KBS radio drama "Eunbangul and Chadol", where he had the lead role at the age of 8. As a child, he continued to appear in several roles in dramas both on TV and radio for different networks.

However, by early 1970, his family's financial situation was dire, and he became the sole provider. As a result, he fell into depression as every cent he earned was used to pay his father's debts. In 1985, he quit the entertainment industry and moved to New York to study abroad for 3 years.

In the 1990s, he gained recognition as a performance planner and director, working to improve the careers of several stage actors and design entire plays. He became a professor at two universities and has appeared sporadically on TV. He is represented by PMC Production (PMC프러덕션).
