Choi Han Bit is a South Korean model, actress and singer. She graduated from the School of Dance at the Korean National University of Arts with a degree in Korean traditional dance. Assigned male at birth, she never felt comfortable and, with the support of her parents, she socially and medically transitioned (including undergoing sex reassignment surgery in 2006). After the surgery, she changed her given name to Han Bit and is legally recognized as female in South Korea. Prior to her surgery, she had appeared on the SBS show "Yoo Jae Suk's Jinsil Game" in 2005.

In 2009, she applied for the Super Model Contest at SBS and, despite multiple complaints, the network decided to let her participate as it feared a lawsuit for discrimination. She finished in Top 32 and officially debuted as a model, but she has faced rejection from some inside the industry.

She always expressed her desire to act and sing and, in 2016, she made her singing debut as part of the girl group MERCURY. The group was popular because of her presence as a transgender woman. However, after their debut song they stopped promoting. MERCURY has never officially disbanded but has had no comebacks or new releases since. Choi also began getting minor roles in TV dramas.
