In February 2019, Ji officially transitioned to acting with his participation in the modern drama "The Last Cook".
In November 2015, Ji and Chinese actress Kan Qing Zi made their relationship public on Weibo. In July 2018, Kan confirmed their breakup on Weibo.
In December 2021, Ji posted a fitness photo with a woman on Weibo, officially announcing his new relationship.
