Sam Shu Pei Ho is the vice president of the Hong Kong Directors Guild. He began to participate in film work in 1983. He joined the Asia Television Broadcasting Co., Ltd. as an assistant director from 1988 to 1989. From 1989 to 1998, he switched to the director of Hong Kong Television Broadcasting Co., Ltd. and now works as a director in mainland China.

At the 9th Macau International TV Festival in 2018, he won the Golden Lotus Best Director Award for Solitary World.
