He made his debut in 2008 when he joined as XING's new vocalist (under the stage name Rising). The group debuted in 2006 but faced constant lineup changes until their eventual disbandment in late 2009.
He re-debuted in March 2010 as THE BOSS's lead dancer and sub-vocalist with their single album, “Admiring Boy.” The group initially promoted in Japan before returning to South Korea in late 2011, following their agency's strategy of prioritizing Japan. Promotions alternated between the two countries until 2012, when Open World Entertainment went bankrupt, leading them to move to Poom Entertainment and later return to XING Entertainment. The group went into an indefinite hiatus in early 2017.
He made his debut as a solo artist in June 2018 with the Japanese single album "Rise Up".
In mid-2023, he reunited with 2 former group mates during the competition "Peak Time", but he faced controversy when old pictures of him smoking, dancing in nightclubs, and celebrating the birthday of a Japanese AV actress were posted online. He left the show to avoid further negative attention. He resided in Tokyo and was also a member of the dance group "MOTF (Men Of The Future) Dance Crew," alongside IONE from Speed, B-Joo from Topp Dogg, Ji Hu from A-JAX, and Sangmin from Cross Gene.
In December 2023, he signed a contract with NewWays Company (뉴웨이즈컴퍼니) and re-debuted in May 2024, as ASC2NT's leader and main vocalist, with their first single album, "Expecting Tomorrow".
