Tao Luo Yi, born in an artistic family in Hefei of Anhui Province, is a Chinese actress formerly known as Miao Luo Yi. She studied ballet, piano and vocal music since she was a child. At aged 10, she was selected by the National Ballet of China to go to Beijing for development, and then admitted to Beijing Dance Academy with a major in ballet performance. After graduation, she was admitted to the Communication University of China majoring in broadcasting and hosting.

In 2005, she won the championship in Anhui Satellite TV "Super Big Winner" dance competition.
