In 2016, she joined legendary singer Nam Jin's academy as a trainee in order to debut as a trot singer under the stage name So Yeon. Her official debut happened in 2017, under her current stage name, after releasing the digital single album "Like".
In 2019, she entered "Miss Trot", and her singing skills impressed the judges and the audience, and she managed to finish in 4th place. After the show, she joined two other fellow contestants and created the project group VENUS and released the single "Turn Signal". She has sung several OSTs for drama, such as "No Matter What", "Love in Eyes", among others. She appears mostly on trot music shows and continues to promote as part of VENUS and as a soloist.
