Hosaka Daisuke is a Japanese screenwriter and film director born in Tokyo, Japan. He graduated from the Department of Literature, Christian Studies at Rikkyo University.

During his time at Rikkyo University, he began making independent films in the university's film study group. His 8mm film "Dynamite Youth" was selected for the 2000 Kyoto International Student Film Festival. After graduating, he was recommended by Makoto Shinozaki, who was a lecturer at Rikkyo University at the time, to enroll in the Film School of Tokyo.
