He is a close friend of the CEO of Favor Entertainment (페이버엔터테인먼트, formerly known as J Army Entertainment), who suggested he formed a band. He met 3 members while in college, and after graduating, he brought them together and added a vocalist after an audition.
He made his debut in March 2018 as the band's leader and drummer with their first single album, "Singing Dancing". Their work earned them the Focus Award at the 2018 Asia Artist Awards. The agency gives the members the freedom to contribute to the lyrics, composition, arrangement, and record production of their records.
In September 2020, he stepped down as the band's leader and a few months later, they entered the survival show "Asian Top Band" and won 1st place.
