When she was little, she studied dance and after graduating from the performance department of Central Academy of Drama in 2010, she took up a job in the Coal Mine Art Troupe, entering the showbiz.
In 2014, she made her debut in the first season of Hubei Satellite TV comedy talent show "I'm Crazy for Comedy" and won the championship. In October same year, she joined CCTV all media humorous video interactive program "Bo Le".
In February 2019, E received media attention after the release of comedy movie "The King of New Comedy" directed by Stephen Chow, and became known for her role as Ru Meng in the movie. In September, it won for her the Best Actress Award at the 17th Pyongyang International Film Festival. In December same year, she was awarded "New Actor of the Year" at the "Movie Night" held in Guangzhou.
In March 2021, E joined Mango TV to create the country's first all-female talk show challenge program "Listen to Sister Talk".
