She began her career using her real name, Bianca Reyes, but her management company asked her to choose an artistic name since there were already too many Biancas and Reyes in the industry. She chose the last name Albert, as it is her maternal grandmother's maiden name.

Despite her trying to keep it under wraps, it was eventually found out that she is a member of the prominent Cojuangco family. Her paternal grandmother Josephine is Former Filipino President Corazon Aquino's sister.m This means she is also the niece of former Filipino President Benigno Aquino III, actress and host Kris Aquino, and actress and equestrienne Mikee Cojuangco.
