Lee Seung Chul
- Name: Lee Seung Chul
- Native name: 이승철
- Also Known as: Rui, Lee Seung Cheol
- Nationality: South Korean
- Gender: Male
- Born: December 5, 1966
- Age: 58
He joined BOOHWAL in late 1985 as guitarist and leader Kim Tae Won was looking for a replacement after original vocalist Kim Jung Seo decided to leave. He made his debut in October 1986 as the band's lead vocalist with their first album, "Rock Will Never Die".
After releasing a second album, he left in 1989 to become a soloist and made his debut with "Don't Say Goodbye", the first of 12 solo albums he has released in his career. He became active in Japan as well, performing under the stage name Rui.
He made his acting debut in 1992 in the movie "The Moon Is... the Sun's Dream", but aside from that role and a cameo in the 2009 movie "More Than Blue", he has always preferred to focus on his singing career.
In 2002, he returned as BOOHWAL's guest lead vocalist for the band's 8th album, "A New Day/Dawn", released in September of that year. In 2005 he won the Male Musician of the Year at the Korean Music Awards.
He is currently represented by MLD Entertainment (MLD엔터테인먼트).
