Lee Sang Hyuk, known professionally as Faker, is a South Korean e-Sports "League of Legends" player. He attended Mapo High School but dropped out to join SKTelecom T1 (now named simply T1) in 2013 where he has played as the team's mid laner ever since. He is widely regarded as the greatest LoL player in history and, throughout his career, he has secured a record of 10 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) titles, two Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) titles, and a record four World Championship titles. His accomplishments has earned him recognition as the Best e-Sports Player at The Game Awards in 2017 and 2023 and he was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in Asia Entertainment & Sports in 2019. That same year, he was inducted into the e-Sports Hall of Fame. In 2023, as e-Sports were officially recognized as a sport in the Asian Games, he represented his country and won the gold medal, receiving an exemption in his military service. He is a co-owner and executive of T1 since 2020.
