Lee Kyu Ri
- Name: Lee Kyu Ri
- Native name: 이큐리
- Given name: Lee Ji Hyun
- Also Known as: Lee Qri,
- Nationality: South Korean
- Gender: Female
- Born: December 12, 1986
- Age: 38
She made her debut as a model in 2004 when she participated in the 2004 Korea National Ulzzang Contest. She began appearing in dramas in 2006 and became a commercial model for Maybelline New York and other international and domestic brands. She then signed with Sniper Sound, a hip-hop recording label, and was supposed to debut as a bassist in a band called SIX COLORS. The band had appeared on several live performances and received positive reviews. However, their debut fell through, and she was transferred to MBK Entertainment (MBK엔터테인먼트; previously known as Core Content Media).
She made her debut in July 2009 as T-ARA's lead dancer, sub-vocalist, rapper, visual and face of the group with the digital single "Lies". They made their TV debut on the MBC talk show "Radio Star", which was highly unusual for an idol group as they would normally debut in a music show. She was not part of the group's original lineup, but three weeks before debuting, two members decided to leave due to differences in music style, and she was added by MBK as a replacement.
They subsequently gained nationwide recognition after releasing the single "Roly-Poly" in 2011, which went on to become the Gaon chart's best-selling single of the year.
However, the group's reputation took a hit in July 2012 when Ryu Hwa Young only performed one song during a concert in Japan while sustaining an alleged leg injury. Member Hyo Min and Ryu's twin sister engaged in a series of messages, leading to speculation of an internal conflict, sparking a major controversy and backlash against the members who were seen as bullies. This incident was finally resolved in February 2017 when staff members presented evidence that put Hwa Young and her sister as the actual bullies of Lee Ah Reum and exaggerated the leg injury she suffered in Japan. Hwa Young admitted all the evidence was real, and she deleted her social media accounts.
She then became part of QBS, a sub-unit only targeting the Japanese market. They debuted in June 2013 with the single "Like The Wind". They never released any new material, and the sub-unit disbanded in 2017 when Jeon Bo Ram and Park So Yeon left the agency. As part of T-ARA's policy of having a rotating leader, she assumed this role in 2013 and has maintained it since then.
The group went on an indefinite hiatus in June 2017 after only 4 members remained under contract. She left MBK at the end of the year and is currently without representation. She has continued her acting career and also launched her own jewelry brand.
After a four-year hiatus, T-ARA reunited as a 4-member group and released their first independent single album, "Re:T-ara", in 2021. They have occasionally reunited for a special appearance on a variety show or for an event abroad.
She made her debut as a solo artist in September 2021 with the digital single "Suri Suri".
