Izumi Masayuki was a Japanese actor born in Arakawa, Tokyo, Japan. He was affiliated with the talent agency Gift during his lifetime. He completed his education at Komagome High School and later graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Department of Tokai University's Second Engineering Faculty.

Izumi began his journey in the entertainment industry during high school as a reader model for Tokyo Street News! He later joined Flags Fab Promotion on the recommendation of an acquaintance, where his interest in acting grew. His acting debut came in 2002 in the drama "Gokusen".

From around 2012, Izumi's health began to decline, but he continued working while managing his condition. He faced multiple hospitalizations in his later years due to illness and passed away on July 28, 2015, at a hospital in Tokyo at the age of 35. His agency announced his death on August 4 of the same year via their official blog, respecting the family's wishes not to disclose specific details about the cause of death or illness.
