In 2017, Harry Lu was in a car accident in Vietname, leaving his nasal and facial bone structure broken and misaligned. After sixty hours of surgery, he headed back to Taiwan to continue the treatment. One year later, Harry Lu revealed his new appearance and shared that he had been through twenty surgeries. He revealed that he'd needed his eye and jawbone rebuilt, saying that beneath his skin was all metal. He eventually returned to the entertainment industry, this time based primarily in Taiwan.
