In 1995, he earned 2nd place as the guest vocalist of the rock band SONAGI (소나기의) during the MBC University Song Festival.
He made his debut as a solo artist in 1997 with the single "Trust Me". In 2005, he joined as the vocalist of the rock band BRUNCH (브런치). After only playing in underground clubs, Happy Robot Records (해피로봇 레코드) decided to represent them but wanted them to re-brand.
So, he re-debuted in September 2007 as DAYBREAK's vocalist with the studio album "Urban Life Style".
They are now represented by Mystic Story (미스틱스토리).
