Baek Chan, also known by his stage name Luvan, is a South Korean rapper, producer and member of the trio 8EIGHT. They won the first season of the television series, MBC’s Show Survival and later, debuted with a performance of their single "I Can Hear The Memories" on MBC’s Show! Music Core in 2007. In 2014, the group disbanded after his and fellow member Joo Hee's contracts expired. In 2016, he formed his own record label, This is it Records and has established a solid producing career, writing and composing over 100 songs. In 2018, he debuted as a soloist with the single "Dive In" using the stage name Luvan, which is the stage name he uses as a producer. In 2020, he released his first studio album, "Baekchan 01", fully self-produced. 8EIGHT briefly reunited also in 2020 and released the single "Fool Again", but have not promoted or released new music ever since.
