Ryu Si Hyun is a South Korean actress and broadcaster. She graduated from Yeongdong Girls’ High School beforing going on to obtain a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Sydney and a master's degree in journalism from Chung-Ang University.

In 1996, she appeared in MBC's "Studio of Love" (사랑의 스튜디오) as an ordinary civilian and English instructor. Afterwards, she began getting offers from EBS and other networks to host educational and cultural programs thanks to her fluency in English. She worked as an MC for several years before venturing into acting in musicals and dramas.
