She made her debut in 1989 by winning the MBC College Song Festival Grand Prize with the song "Love Is". The title song of her 1st album, "Even if I love you", became a hit thanks to her excellent singing ability. After her 3rd album was released in 1995, she suddenly went away from the industry and did not appear in public events or on TV for a while, but her music remains popular among her fans.
Currently, she is an adjunct professor at the Department of Practical Music at the Seoul National University of Arts and a lecturer at the Department of Practical Music at Baekseok Arts University.
