Hwang Bo
- Name: Hwang Bo
- Native name: 황보
- Given name: Hwangbo Hyejeong
- Also Known as: Hwangbo Hyejeong
- Nationality: South Korean
- Gender: Female
- Born: August 16, 1980
- Age: 45
She made her debut in 1999 when she was added to a new co-ed project group called BROS that was created by ROO'RA's Lee Sang Min. They released their first album, but it was a commercial failure and also deteriorated the relationship with their agencies, so they quickly disbanded afterwards.
She then re-debuted in February 2000 as CHAKRA's main rapper, main vocalist and face of the group with the single "Han" that they presented in the show "Music Camp". The next month, they released their first full album, "Come A Come", and were managed by Cream Entertainment (크림 엔터테인먼트). The group swept the rookie awards at different ceremonies as their album was a hit due to the influence of Indian music in their concept.
Later, they reached peak popularity in mid-2001 when their second album "Chakra'Ca" focused on an African-themed concept and managed to win several prizes. But, original leader Eani decided to leave the group and a new member was added the following year. Their next two albums were also commercial successes and brought many accolades to the group.
However, by early 2004, Cream Entertainment began facing severe financial difficulties which delayed their fifth album and forced Jung Ryeo Won to leave the group to focus on her acting career. The audience also began losing interest in the group as they did not promote for nearly 2 until they finally disbanded in mid-2006. She fell into depression and went to Africa and the Middle East as a missionary.
After her return, she began appearing in several variety shows, but her image and reputation as "unfeminine" hindered her career. It was until March 2007 when she debuted as a solo artist with the single album, "Lady In Black" that the public perception of her drastically changed and the album was a hit.
She took a break for 3 years from the entertainment industry to focus on her café and clothing brand before returning in 2016 and continues to sporadically appear on TV from time to time.
