In early 2016, she was set to debut as part of Yama & Hotchicks Entertainment (야마앤핫칙스 엔터테인먼트)'s new girl group, SEEART (씨앗). They performed in a series of online concerts on Afreeca TV in October and November 2016 and released the preview single "Bloom the SeeArt" the following month. However, the group was transferred to Krazy Entertainment (크래지 엔터테인먼트) in early 2018 and changed their name to OAHSIS (오아시스), but still could not officially debut.
In July 2019, they began releasing teasers for their possible debut but, a few weeks later, the company abruptly ceased all their activities. In October of that year, Krazy Entertainment faced financial problems and ended operations so, the group disbanded without having the chance to ever debut since it was formed in 2016.
As part of Krazy Entertainment, she joined a special project group between her agency and gaming company VSG (버수스 게임; formerly known as Actoz Soft). She made her debut in November 2018 as AQUA's main dancer and rapper with the digital single, "Log In". They were created to become the first ever Korean K-Pop group who worked both as idols and gamers.
In March 2019, she joined another project group called D.A.N that included members from OAHSIS, PEACE and TEAM_X, groups managed by Krazy Entertaiment. The co-ed group debuted with the single "Suicide Squad -1". However, with the closure of Krazy due to financial problems, all groups disbanded by late 2019.
She has been active as an actress since 2023 under the stage name Ri Jae.
