Samantha Ko is a Hongkongese actress and program host born in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. She is currently a contracted artist under TVB.

Her father is Hong Kong Chinese, and she immigrated to Hong Kong at the age of thirteen. During her childhood in mainland China, she used her grandmother's surname. Later, after moving to Hong Kong, she adopted her father's surname and changed her name to "Ko Hoi Ling" at the age of eighteen.

She graduated from Nanjing Shuangqiao Gate Central Primary School in 1999. She attended St. Mary's Canossian College during her secondary school years and transferred to New Method College in Form 7. After graduating from Form 7, she pursued a Higher Diploma in Business Administration at the Hong Kong Community College.

She was once a model under the Elite agency. Encouraged by her parents, she participated in the 2008 Miss Hong Kong Pageant and successfully entered the final, winning the Tourism Ambassador Award. Subsequently, she was signed by TVB as a contracted artist. In 2012, she published her autobiography, "Ning... Secret Whispers."

Her former boyfriend is former TVB music director Tang Chi Wai.
