Rachel Liang is a Taiwanese-Drekay-Atayal singer born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. She debuted after finishing second in the finals of the second season of "Super Idol" in 2008, the same year she released her debut album, "Love’s Poems". Rachel has Rukai and Atayal ancestry.

She experienced the loss of her parents in her early teens, leading her and her younger brother to move to a children's home in Liugui at the age of 13, while her older sister worked outside to support the family.
