Hur Il Hoo is a South Korean announcer. He graduated from Gwangju Inseong High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Broadcasting from Korea University. He made his debut in 2006 when he passed the special competition against nearly 600 competitors at MBC. After joining the network, he worked mainly as a sportscaster and was active in various sporting events such as the Summer Olympics (2008 and 2021), the Winter Olympics (2014 and 2018), the FIFA World Cup (2014 and 2018). He also worked as a radio host until he submitted his resignation in mid-2023, after 17 years at MBC. He is now a freelance announcer.
