In 2004, she won the national championship of "Shining Star College Student Singer Trial" organized by Warner Records. The following year, she officially debuted after participating in the Hunan Satellite TV entertainment program "2005 Super Girl".
In 2006, she released her first music album "The One", which won the 6th China Golden Record Award for Popular Actress. In 2007, she became the second mainland Chinese singer to hold a concert in the United States after Cui Jian.
