Mao Wei Jia is a Chinese singer born in Shanghai, China. In March 2018, she was announced as a trainee under AKB48 Team SH, and 4 months later, on July 24, 2018, she became an official 1st generation member of AKB48 Team SH. Since November 15, 2018, she also became The Overall Captain of AKB48 Team SH.

On October 30, 2020, she debuted as a solo singer with the digital single '冬至雪 (Dongzhi Xue)'. She is the first member to debut as a solo artist. On September 12, 2022, she debuted in the sub-unit from AKB48 Team SH named 'HOLIDAY GIRLS'. She was a contestant on survival shows like 'Produce 101 China' in 2018, 'The Coming One Girls' in 2019, 'Top Class International Idol School' in 2021, and also in 2021, together with her group were contestants in 'Show Youth and Melody'.

She graduated from Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance. She and her fellow AKB48 Team SH members Liu Nian and Zhu Ling were featured in the AKB48 Mobile Game: 'AKB48 Cherry Bay Blaze'.
