She graduated from Cheng Li University with a degree in English and American Literature and earned a Master's degree in Marketing Management from Baruch College, City University of New York, in 2008. Tai made her acting debut in the 2004 drama "Dou Yu" on Bada Comprehensive Channel.

She became engaged to Taiwanese actor Huang Huai Chen in 2011 and married him on June 30, 2012.
