In early 2019, he entered as a contestant in JTBC's "Superband". He joined Kevin Oh, Choi Young Jin, and another musician during the team mission and formed the band AFTERMOON, which ended in 5th place.
A few weeks later, Oh convinced him and Choi to remain together, and he debuted as the band's bassist and maknae in November 2019 with the single "I Want It All".
He made his debut as a solo artist in May 2020 with the album "Storm Is Coming". He also uses the stage names Storm and Hezil.
He has a skin condition that causes some of his hair and eyelashes to grow naturally white.
