In 1925 he became a member of the theater company Tsukijishogekijo, where he made his debut in the play Gasu. When this theater company was disbanded in 1929, he joined forces with, among others, Osamu Takizawa and transferred to the left-wing theater company Tokyo sayokugekijo . There he spent a lot of time in trade union activities . In 1934 he became a member of Tomoyoshi Murayama's theater company Shinkyogekidan where he played in Kan Kikuchis "Chichi kaeru og i Yuzo Yamamotos Doshi no hitobito" . In 1935, he starred in his first feature film,Hyakunin no gassho , created by J. O Studio. On August 19, 1940, he and other actors and directors were arrested after they were accused of violating the so-called "Law for the maintenance of social peace", and their theater company was dissolved.

After the war he was first employed in the theater company Daini Shinkyogekidan , then in the theater company Bungakuza , before joining the theater company Gekidan Mingei in 1952. In 1953 he starred in the film Yuake mae , directed by Kozaburo Yoshimura .

He had brain hemorrhage on April 29, 1960 while he read the script for a television play in NHC Osaka department. He was taken to the Red Cross hospital, but died on 6 May . He turned 53 years old.

The funeral took place in Sabokaikan, Tokyo's Chiyoda district. Edit Biography
