He made his debut in 1992 in TBS and moved to SBS one year later. He hosted the show "Midnight TV Entertainment" for 8 years and also several morning cultural programs. He left SBS in 2000 to become a freelance announcer but remained working mainly for the network. He had brief periods at TV Chosun and EBS before being hired to host the MBN News from 2015 until 2017.
Since 2020, he reduced his work as a host and announcer and became heavily involved in politics, serving as a member of the People Power Party's executive committee and working on regional projects.
