He enlisted in his mandatory military service on April 1, 2014 and was discharged on December 31, 2015.
Before debuting, he was the violinist of a band called POSSIBLE DONG/GANEUNG-DONG (as all members were from that area) that was formed in 2018 and was known for their amazing busking performances.
In 2019, the band participated in JTBC's "Super Band" but only him was selected to advance to the finals. He was matched with 3 other contestants and formed the band LUCY, ending in 2nd place.
He made his official debut in May 2020 as LUCY's leader and violinist with their first single album, "Dear" and are managed by Mystic Story (미스틱스토리).
