While attending the Faculty of Letters, Meiji University, he belonged to Takashi Saito Seminar. Later, he co-starred with Saito in "Information 7DAYS Newscaster", Saito appeared as a regular commentator.

Initially, in high school, he aspired to be a teacher, the same as his sister, and to get a job after completing educational training. He happened to see a poster recruiting announcers on the university bulletin board, and thought that "teachers and announcers have a common item of "one-to-many communication", which leads to studying to become a teacher," so he took the commemorative exam. He took the announcer test for TBS (currently Tokyo Broadcasting Systems Holdings), NTV, Fuji TV, and TV Asahi. However, NTV was not adopted in the document screening. TV Asahi was rejected before the final selection.
