Yan Hua is a Chinese writer, also known as Dongfang Long Yin, and his pen names are Hua Yan, He Shu Bi, Leng Zhi, and Long Yin. He was born in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. In the 1980s, he presided over the compilation of the "Chinese Youth Encyclopedia" and won two ministerial awards, namely the National Book Golden Key Award and the Outstanding Book Award from the Press and Publication Administration.
