Lily Tien is a Taiwanese actress, singer, and TV hostess, of mixed heritage. Her father is from Shandong, China, while her mother is from the indigenous Tsou people of Taiwan, giving her half-indigenous ancestry.

From 1994 to 1996, she pursued a career in Japan, where she released several Japanese singles. Tien's ex-husband is Chen Ting Chung, a television producer.

After retiring from entertainment, she relocated to a farm in Duli, Taitung, Taiwan, where she became a fruit farmer.

She is a distant cousin of singers Francesca Kao and Yinguyu Yatauyungana.
