In November 2010, it was announced that Tao would join the girl group "Wonder 4" during the "Qiao Jie Li Annual Super New Group Formation Press Conference." However, the group disbanded before debuting due to differences among the members, who were from different companies.
In 2011, Tao signed with Da Sheng Music and released her debut album, "Shen Hun Dian Dao", on October 30, 2012. After seven years, she ended her collaboration with Da Sheng Music in 2018.
On April 23, 2018, Tao married Chang Wei Yang.
