She debuted in 2011 with the mini album "Ready! Go!" and also released a few more indie albums in Japan. She eventually debuted in South Korea in 2012 with the mini album "My First June", but her songs released in Japan have never been released in South Korea due to copyright issues.
In 2013, she joined CNBLUE's Lee Jong Hyun and formed the duo Romantic J, and for several months, that was the only music she released. In 2015, she grew frustrated with FNC Entertainment over the direction of her career and left later that year. Then, in 2016, she legally changed her given name from Joon Hee to Seo Ah and moved to C9 Entertainment. She released several singles but had barely any promotion or TV exposure.
In 2020, she joined producer and fellow labelmate DOKO to form the duo Poetic Narrator which ended when she left the agency in 2021. She is currently represented by K Tigers Entertainment.
