Kawabe Chieko is an actress, singer, model, radio host, and TV personality from Tokyo whom was born to a Japanese father and Spanish Filipino mother.

She is best known for her roles in the early 2000's Sailor Moon musicals, the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon live-action, and singing the opening theme song to the anime Ouran High School Host Club's.

When Kawabe was younger, she played the role of Mizuno Ami/Sailor Mercury in the 2000's Sailor Moon musicals for five productions spanning 2000-2002. She was also involved in the 2003 live-action Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon drama as Tsukino Usagi's best friend Naru Osaka.

As her singing career kicked off, Kawabe released the singles "Be Your Girl" on April 27, 2004, which became the ending theme song to the anime "Elfen Lied". Her singles "Shining" and "Kizunairo" were released in 2004 and 2005. The song "I Can't Wait", from the 2005 "Kizunairo" single was used as the theme song to the Japanese version of the show Lizzie McGuire.

Her first album titled "Brilliance" was released in March 2005, with another single titled "Candy Baby" released in July of that same year. Kawabe's next major single, "Sakura Kiss", was used as the theme song for the hit anime Ouran High School Host Club.

Since April 2016 she has been working as a certified pilates instructor.
