He began directing in 1998, and in 2007, he started to direct independently. He is known for Inferior Student Qiao Xi (2019) and Bad Daughter (2018) which he wrote and directed. His accomplishments include a nomination for the "Best Children's Film" at the Beijing Youth Film Festival and recognition at the 16th Hua Biao awards.
