She began her career as a gravure idol with A-team (エーチーム), later known as A-PLUS, from 2004 to 2009. On August 29, 2015, she adopted the professional name Kosaka Yuka (小阪有花) for her activities in childcare and authorship but reverted to her original name starting January 2022.
Kosaka was scouted in Shibuya and signed with A-team. In April 2004, she reached the semifinals of "Miss Magazine 2004" as one of the 16 contestants, eventually winning the Miss Magazine Grand Prix on July 5 of that year.

In her autobiography published in 2012 and subsequent interviews, Kosaka discussed her retirement from the entertainment industry due to depression and personal instability following a breakup.
In 2015, Kosaka founded "Revival Meeting Co., Ltd.," a company focused on supporting beauty enhancement. She also established the "With Mama Nursery" in Ichihara, Chiba, Japan, in April 2015 and served as a producer until the end of her contract in July 2016, concurrently working at the nursery.
On January 6, 2022, Kosaka announced her marriage to former actor Tochihara Rakuto. Following her career in childcare consulting, she founded "cheer lead," a talent development company aimed at aspiring celebrities.
