Chiu Chun Keung was one of the graduates of the first acting training course for TV and film co-organized by Shaw Brothers and Television Broadcast Limited (TVB) in 1972. He had a short career in acting and was soon handpicked to be an assistant director and scriptwriter. His talents in directorship and scriptwriting were soon recognized with his promotion as scriptwriter-director, and later to producer in 1979.
Chiu has produced countless memorable television series. These include Heaven Sword And Dragon Sabre, The Bund and Police Cadet 84. Chiu has also directed a Shaw Brothers film Sex Beyond The Grave with director Li Tai-heng in 1984.
Later Chiu worked at Pearl City Video to explore the market of films in video. From 1988 to 1992, he joined the Asia Television Limited (ATV) as the creative director. In 2000, he has also written and directed a few films like The Point Of No Return and Model From Hell. In recent years he has worked in Mainland China as an artistic director of youth television series.
