Lin Yi Hong was born and raised in Foz do Iguaçu, Brasil. After high school, in 1997, he moved to Taiwan to study at Fu Jen Catholic University, eventually graduating in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, and started his acting career at TVBS. In 2008, Lin moved to Hong Kong for a new Job at TVB.
In 2010, he moved to the bussiness field.
Lin can speak Portuguese, Mandarin and English.
