Gong Hi Na is a singer and dancer, and a former trainee under SM Entertainment. Hina is Japanese-South Korean, carrying both Japanese and Korean citizenship. She was born in Nagoya, Japan, to her Japanese father and Korean mother. She was part of the trainee team SM Rookies.
