In 1908 (Meiji 41), Yoshizawa Shoten started appearing in the movie studio Yoshizawa Shoten Meguro Studio, which has a glass stage opened in Meguro, around 1910 (Meiji 43). He co-starred with Yoshinosuke Kinoshita, a female onnagata, in many works. In 1912 (Taisho 1st year), the company merged with three other companies to form Trust Nikkatsu, and in October 1913 (Taisho 2), the Nikkatsu Mukojima studio was constructed and opened, and the Meguro studio was closed. did. Gomi will be transferred to Mukaishima along with Tadashi Oguchi and Kiyoshi Masumoto of Kyogen (screenplay and direction), Ioe Saito, a set background painter, Tappatsu Sekine, Teijiro Tachibana, and Unpei Yokoyama. At that time, neither Yoshizawa Shoten nor Nikkatsu had a habit of crediting movies, so the details of the work are unknown. He left Nikkatsu at the end of the same year.
He joined Tennenshoku, which was founded by Yoshitaro Yamakawa and Kisaburo Kobayashi from Fukuhodo, one of the companies that formed Nikkatsu, in 1916 (Taisho 5), and appeared in many silent films and chain plays. Among them, Maresuke Nogi, who played in a chain drama, gained popularity. He was enrolled in Tennenshoku until 1918 (Taisho 7). In 1919 (Taisho 8), Tenkatsu was acquired by Kokusai Katsuei (Kokukatsu) established by Kisaburo Kobayashi, and in 1920 (Taisho 9), he appeared in a Kokukatsu movie, but in the same year, Shochiku Kinema Joined Shochiku Kamata Photo Studio immediately after opening in Kamata.
He left Shochiku Kinema in 1921 (Taisho 10) and returned to the performance on stage, but he collapsed during the performance in Osaka and died of illness on April 28, 1922 (Taisho 11). He died at the age of 47. Edit Biography
