Lee Eun Joo was a South Korean actress. She graduated from Gunsan Yeonggwang Girls' High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Theater and Film from Dankook University.

She won the silver medal at the 1996 Sunkyung Smart Model Contest and began working in commercials. She was then offered roles in several dramas, debuting with a small role in the 1996 KBS2 drama, "Start". She was especially acclaimed for her performance in "Phoenix", winning the Top Excellence Award and the Best Couple Award with Lee Seo Jin at the 2004 MBC Drama Awards. She was also a talented musician, having played the piano since she was a child, so she contributed with a piano track to the soundtrack of the 2002 film "Lovers' Concerto" and sang many OSTs in her brief career.

On February 22, 2005, and just a few days after graduating from university, she committed suicide by slitting her wrists and hanging herself at the age of 24. She was cremated, and her remains were placed in a family crypt in Goyang. She was battling with severe depression, insomnia, and anxiety.
