In 1965, he entered the entertainment world as the 5th gen member of the Theater Research Institute attached to Bungakuza. In 1966, Ono made his debut in the TV drama "What's the Youth" (NTV).
After being a regular on "Guts Jun" (TBS) and "Youth on the Court" (CX), he was selected as the main character of "Wild 7" (NTV), which was broadcasted in 1972, and played the role of Hiba Dairoku.
