He made his debut in 1996 as part of the 5th open recruitment for comedians at SBS. He was active in "People Looking for a Laugh" with popular segments. However, he had to fulfill his mandatory military service, and after being discharged, he moved to KBS's "Gag Concert".
Despite being a popular cast member, he was part of Star Valley Entertainment (스타밸리) and, at that time, the company had a conflict with KBS and all comedians from that agency were forced to leave the show. He loved "Gag Concert" so much that he quit the agency and tried to return, breaking his longtime friendship with comedian Kim Jun Ho. He was not able to return to the show full-time, moving back to SBS, but appeared during special episodes.
He also manages his YouTube channel, where he talks about politics and social affairs.
