Kim Yong Im is a South Korean trot singer. She graduated from Gyeonggi Girls' High School and later obtained an associate's degree in Dance from the Seoul Institute of the Arts.

She made her debut as a ballad singer in 1984 with the single "Magnolia" but transitioned to trot music not long after that. In 1993, she retired from the industry as she went through a complicated divorce and other personal reasons. She returned in early 1996 but remained a somewhat obscure singer for many years until the release of the single "Rope of Love" in 2003 that finally brought her deserved recognition.

She now features in nearly all trot-related shows as a guest or judge and is represented by TV Chosun E&M (TV조선 E&M).
